All Henry County students now have access to free school meals.
Any student will be able to get breakfast and lunch for free every day during the upcoming school year.
This is the result of the district's participation in the federal Community Eligibility Provision, which reimburses schools for every free meal they serve.
Previously, only the district's elementary and middle schools have participated.
This year though, the district finally got the paperwork submitted for the high schools to participate as well.
"Our poverty level division wide is close to 70 percent. So based on our community's need financially, every student, regardless of their personal or home financial status, qualifies," said Henry County Public Schools Communication Director Monica Adams Hatchett.
Students will still have to pay for additional items, such as a second milk or a second serving of food.
